Who made the city’s best building this year? It will be announced on June 7 during the festive presentation of the Rotterdam Architecture Prize.

The professional jury made a selection of ten projects that show the quality of Rotterdam’s building production in its full breadth. They also select a jury winner. In addition, everyone who cares about the architecture of Rotterdam could vote in April for one of the ten projects from the jury selection. The building with the most votes will receive the public award of the Rotterdam Architecture Prize from the hands of the city council. The best vote also receives recognition. The following ten projects have a chance to win the Rotterdam Architecture Prize 2023, in no particular order:

3. Tidal Park Island of Brienenoord
4. Rotterdam Rooftop Walk
5. South Gymnasium
6. The Hudsons, Rotterdam
7. Langeveld Building
8. Gouverneblok
9. Fridtjof Nansenschool
10. Apartments Parkbuurt

About the Rotterdam Architecture Prize

Every year, the Rotterdam Architecture Prize highlights the city’s new buildings. The best buildings are awarded the RAP jury prize and the RAP audience prize, intended for the winning teams of client, designer and builder. This independent award for the city of Rotterdam is an initiative of the municipality of Rotterdam, organized by AIR.

The jury makes a selection of ten projects that demonstrate the quality of Rotterdam’s construction production in its full breadth. They also select a jury winner. In addition, everyone who cares about Rotterdam’s architecture can vote for one of the ten projects from the jury selection during April.
