Green Entanglements

To acknowledge our entanglements, to sit amongst and active in the roots

Through this joint programme, the Botanische tuin Afrikaanderwijk and Gemaal op Zuid will host a weekend of events focused on the urgency for biodiversity considerations within our local urban environments.

Coinciding with the Verborgen Tuinen Weekend and Rotterdam Architectuur Maand, the garden will be open all weekend for people to experience its beautiful Spring display and curious plant collections, before then inviting you to head over to Gemaal op Zuid for morning and afternoon tea.

An afternoon talk on Saturday from Biologist Kees Vink, green initiator/co-ordinator Philip Kuypers and Marjolein Moeijes from the team behind Nationaal Park Rotterdam, moderated by the Botanische tuin’s Melitta van Bracht, will offer a range of aspects as to why we should seek more sustainable and responsible ecological paths.
