NEW WAVE is a project by Women Skate the World and creates safe(r) spaces in the skateboarding community, focusing on girls, queers and women.

NEW WAVE will be skating on the mini ramp in the festival heart of the Rotterdam Architecture Month. Come and skate, hang out and listen to music. Bring your own board, or borrow on of the boards they bring. Have you never skated before, or do you want to improve your skills? NEW WAVE teaches some beginners classes. Everybody is welcome!

Practical info

• There are some boards available, but you may also bring your own skateboard or skate gear.
• Skating in the festival center is at your own risk.
• Get your ticket throug the ticketlink below. If you visit this program, it is not necessary to buy a separate admission ticket for the festival heart. A ticket for this program already gives you access to the floating festival heart.
• On arrival, please report to the welcome desk of the Rotterdam Architecture Month at the square in front of the Maassilo.
• IMPORTANT! Do not go directly to the floating platforms without a wristband, as you will not be granted access.
