Join us for a guided bike tour of three multi-purpose roofs in Rotterdam South and discover the city’s innovative and sustainable urban initiatives.

On the route

• The tour starts at De Startmotor, a new residential complex located near Zuidplein designed for 500 young people aged between 18 and 27. It’s a building where meeting, connecting, and collaborating are essential, including on the four (!) roofs.
• Next, we’ll visit ‘T Slag, which is a health center, day nursery, consultation center, and library in Feijenoord. Here, the BSO and consultation bureau have an outdoor playground on the roof terrace, creating a unique space for both work and play.
• Finally, we’ll head to Sports Complex Olympia, which is located next to De Kuip and is part of Rotterdam’s new Stadionpark district. The grandstand on the roof offers an excellent view of the sports complex and is a fantastic example of combining sports and sustainability.

Practical information

• The minimum age for this tour is 12 years or older.
• Bring your own bike.
• Wearing shoes without heels is mandatory to participate.
